What is a Partner Church?
A partner church is one that has an interest in the work of LuMin St. Louis. This is demonstrated through a pledge of financial resources and/or in-kind donations. The partner church also communicates with its members the Good News of LuMin St. Louis. LuMin St. Louis also shares information about the state of campus ministry through in person, mailed, and electronic means.
There are many ways to be a partner with campus ministry:
A pledged amount to campus ministry for the year/special Sunday offering by the congregation
A visit from Pastor Tina (and maybe students) to preach/lead forum on why campus ministry is important.
Announce quarterly fundraisers to parishioners
- Trivia Night (January 31, 2026)
- Give STL Day (May 2026)
- Fall 2025 Fundraiser TBD (prayerfully in person)
- End of Year Letter Campaign (October 2025)
Buy a table of 8 at Trivia Night
An in-gathering of items from our wish list (found at lcmstl.org)
A workday at the campus house.
Network your parishioners with students (shared interests, careers)
Prayer partners with students
Sponsor/cook a Sunday dinner for the students
A visit from your youth group to learn about campus ministry
Guest pastors to engage with students on Sunday nights (I know this is a big ask)
Many of the Eastern Missouri Conference Churches of the Central States Synod (ELCA) that are located within the St. Louis metro area are partner churches. We also share partnership with churches in western Illinois that had once been a part of the St. Louis area conference.
